TinyTracer Privacy Policy
Short version: TinyTracer has no backend server, no accounts, no analytics, and no advertising. Everything your child practices stays on your device. We — the developer — never receive, see, or store any of your data.
What data the app handles, and where it lives
- Child profiles (a first name and a chosen buddy mascot, entered by a parent) are stored locally on your device. They never leave your device to any server we operate, because we don't operate one.
- Practice progress (letters, numbers, words, and sentences completed; day streaks; time spent practicing; mascot rewards earned) is stored locally on your device and used only to power the app's own Parent Dashboard and rewards screens.
- No camera, microphone, photo library, or location access is used by the app at all.
- Subscription purchases are handled entirely by Apple's App Store (StoreKit). Your payment information goes directly to Apple — we never receive, see, or store your card details. We only receive confirmation of whether a subscription is active, not any billing details.
Parent Gate
Every purchase screen, settings screen, and profile-management screen in TinyTracer is protected by a Parent Gate — a press-and-hold interaction designed to require sustained, deliberate adult interaction — so a child cannot make a purchase or change settings on their own.
What we don't do
- No account creation or login is required to use the app.
- No analytics SDKs or third-party tracking libraries are included in the app.
- No advertising, and no ad networks are integrated.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties, because we do not collect it in the first place.
- We do not track you or your child across other companies' apps or websites.
Children's privacy
TinyTracer is designed for children, and it's built specifically so that using it never requires collecting any personal information from a child — no account, no name sent anywhere, no data transmitted off the device at all. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, or from anyone, because the app simply doesn't collect data in the first place.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and revise the effective date above.
